Setting children up to succeed in a world where more than half of the jobs they’ll have over their careers don’t even exist yet.
Artificial intelligence (AI) and biotechnology are both on an exponential growth trajectory. As the machines become capable of complex decision making, their disruptive potential is growing.
We don’t have a crystal ball to know what challenges our children will face, and still less what jobs will exist for them to apply for. The best we can hope to do is to equip children with sufficiently transferable skills to be able to respond to whatever the future holds.
With our schools' narrow focus on outcomes that reward memorization and rote learning, Inceptive is committed to bridging the skills gap to ensure lifelong positive outcomes for all children.
We are not saying that children don’t need core academic knowledge or STEM classes, just that they alone are not enough.
While the schools are giving children the academic knowledge, we at Inceptive are focused on inspiring creativity, encouraging collaboration, expecting and rewarding critical thinking, and teaching children not only how to communicate, but also the power of effective communication.
Inceptive is an ed-tech platform that develops 21st century skills through a hybrid online-offline engagement model. Through our mobile app, we develier learning activities that are done offline, away from the screen, and are designed to use simple materials that families already have in the house.
Each activity is designed for children to learn through guided play. They're fun, engaging and entirely different in content and ideas to the standard educational curriculum.
They are also deliberately simple, which helps not only minimise materials and preparation but also importantly allows the children to learn and repeat the activities themselves if they enjoy them.
Inceptive is just getting started. Everything, from this website through to the tools we are building and support we aim to provide are still being conceived, designed and developed.
If you're interested in helping shape Inceptive and you're happy to both experiment with activities and provide feedback to us on how to make them better, we'd love for you to join now as a founding member.
